Position Details

General Statement

Great Falls College MSU is seeking a Dental Hygiene Faculty member to join the team in our Dental Hygiene Program. This position performs instruction-related duties and responsibilities for the Division of Health Sciences and the Dental Hygiene degree program in accordance with the philosophy, mission, policies, and procedures of the college. Our students and faculty have access to a Dental Clinic located on campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

Specific responsibilities for this position include:
• Develop syllabi, courses, D2L Course Shells, and assessment instruments for the program.
• Teach didactic courses and provide clinical instruction in Dental Hygiene program.
• Take an active role in the facilitation and continual improvement of the Dental Hygiene Program.
• Participate in selection criteria of students for admission into the program.
• Participate and be involved in the process of maintaining program accreditation through the ADA Commission on Dental Accreditation.
• Participate in the hiring of program faculty.
• Advise students in the Dental Hygiene Program.
• Maintain active membership in the Montana Dental Hygiene Association.

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Completion of Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene or equivalent;
RDH or dental licensure for the State of Montana or be eligible for licensure; and
• Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum of two years current clinical experience in dental hygiene;
• Current local anesthesia licensure or eligible for licensure; and
• Teaching experience in two-year College or higher education institute.
