Position Details

General Statement
Duties and Responsibilities

Frontline direct customer service staff who assists with phone and walk in traffic and processing payments in Student Accounts. This position works directly with Banner, collection agency databases, a working knowledge of Excel creating and manipulating data, and creating reports.
• Bill and collect payments
• Pursue past due accounts and process referrals for collection
• Balance till/cash drawer daily
• Cross train and be fully functional within the Student Accounts area
• Create and distribute student refund checks

Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Minimum one year customer service experience in an office environment;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks at the same time while prioritizing;
• Experience working with a variety of internal and external customers to provide
general office support;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Cash handling skills including experience reconciling daily to system accounts;
• Experience with accounts receivable.

Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, Access, and Excel;
• Experience using Banner;
• Experience working in higher education environment; and
•Experience working collections accounts

This position requires the ability to sit for long periods of time; to do extensive keyboard
entry and to file for periods of time.
